In 2002, the idea to establish an association for Ewes living in the Greater Denver Metropolitan area and Colorado originated from Derick Glymin. After discussing the concept with Esther Winfred-Kporha, she shared it with Cornelius Ackumey. Together, they reached out to other Ewes they knew in the region.
The primary purpose of this association was to unite all Ewes from Eweland residing in the Greater Denver Metropolitan area and Colorado at large. Additionally, it aimed to promote a sense of unity among descendants of Eweland and those who cherished Ewe heritage. Another essential objective was to assist in the development of their homeland, the four Eweland countries: Ghana🇬🇭, Togo🇹🇬, Benin🇧🇯, and Nigeria🇳🇬.
